How do I choose a load rating?
Add your body weight, clothing, tools and materials. Compare that total with the label and any site requirement. The directory lets you filter by minimum load in kilograms.
What should I inspect before using a ladder?
Check the feet, rails, rungs, locking hinges and any platform or wheel locks. Take damaged equipment out of service. Follow the manufacturer’s pre-use instructions.
Can I use a metal ladder for electrical work?
Aluminium conducts electricity. Have a competent person isolate the hazard and select suitable access equipment. Fibreglass rails do not make live work safe.
