Measure the place your hands need to reach
Measure from the floor to the shelf, fitting or work surface. The ceiling may be higher. Leave enough floor space to fully open the ladder, and measure the folded storage space.

Understand the height on the label
Overall ladder length, permitted standing level and working reach are different measurements. Use the catalogue figure as a starting point. The home guide and catalogue differ for DSL03 and DSL04. Confirm the exact model, approved standing level and reach with the supplier.
Models featured in the original guide
The guide discusses the compact DSL03, the double-sided DSL04 and the folding MPL12. For polished flooring, inspect the rubber shoes and ask for non-marking feet. A stairwell requires an expressly approved configuration.
